Produced from the extraordinary harvest of 2004, this Henri Giraud Champagne is composed of three quarters Pinot Noir and a quarter Chardonnay wine. Aged in oak barrels from the Argonne Forest that are made from timbers selected by expert merrandier, Camille Gauthier; these individually numbered bottles are gilded with fine gold and sealed closed in the time-honoured clip and printed cork fashion. This wine requires decanting at the moment to open up its rich and beautiful bouquet. The vintage holds fine acidity and the sunny juicy rich fruit is impressive in a style resembling Vilmart .Store and enjoy when hazelnuts are joined by mushroom forest.

Champagne Henri Giraud was established in 1625 in Aÿ and is now under the ownership of Claude Giraud – who represents the 12th generation of the family. The Giraud-Hémart family own 20 hectares - 35 parcels of Grand Cru land of which 26 is planted with Pinot Noir and 9 with Chardonnay. Henri Giraud’s boutique, environmentally-friendly production (subscribing to the ‘lutte-raisonnée’ -limited intervention grape growing) is limited to 250 000 bottles a year.
