The 2010 Rive Gauche – Rive Droite Extra Brut Grand Cru is an assemblage of 50% Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize and 50% Pinot Noir from Aÿ, all fermented in old Burgundian pièces. Bottled in November 2011, this sample was disgorged three years later, with a dosage of five grams per liter. This is a very clear, deep, rich and noble premium cuvée whose oak management is sensible but fine and spicy. On the palate, this is complex and highly finessed, a real delicacy paired with intensity and youth. Wine Advocate 93
