The 2013 Bourgogne Rouge, taken directly from tank with 20% new oak, has a deep ruby color. The bouquet is nicely perfumed with small black cherries and griottes emerging from the glass. The palate is sweet on the entry with blackberry and blueberry fruit, saturated tannin and an elegant finish. What a great little generic red “Burg”! Wine Advocate 88 (2013)
