The founder of Ca’ del Bosco, Maurizio Zanella, has been one of the foremost advocates of the Franciacorta region. His work was fundamental to the area’s receipt of the DOCG designation for its sparkling wines, and he has also endeavored to secure an official designation—Curtefranca—to represent the area’s still wine production. Regarded as one of Franciacorta’s foremost practitioners, Ca’ del Bosco produces a full range of sparkling wines as well as still wines utilizing both the principal international varieties and those indigenous to the area.

Like the harmonious notes of a complex orchestral score, every stage of production has to be perfectly timed. Vintage Collection Dosage Zéro has no added liqueur d'expédition (the dosing syrup added in minimal amounts to the other Franciacortas during degorging). A pure, sincere Franciacorta, fruit of the finest expression of its extraordinary terroir and of the man who intuited its character and potential. Destined for the connoisseurs who love this style. An excellent aperitif, the optimal match for shellfish and raw fish.

The 2013 Franciacorta Vintage Collection Dosage Zéro (disgorged in the fall of 2017) is a blend of 65% Chardonnay, 13% Pinot Bianco and 22% Pinot Nero. This is a radiant and festive sparkling wine with an open and accessible personality. The bouquet is layered and bright with ripe tones of peach, apple and passion fruit. Warm notes of baked bread appear on the finish. In the mouth, the wine shows medium texture and generous fiber. Wine Advocate 92 (2013)
