Description

Labeled by Parker as one of the World’s Greatest Wine Estates. Since 1909, the Perrins have been making wonders in the then little-known Southern Rhone Valley. Over the past 90 years or so, the rise in status for the Perrins lies in the consistency of their wines, their relentless pursuit of excellence and the incredible value they offer. Chateau de Beaucastel – Amongst the best in the Rhone Valley. This is the top range of the Perrins family collection with Hommage CDP as one of the world’s most sought-after wines.

A fabulous white, Mordorée’s 2013 Lirac La Reine des Bois Blanc checks in as a blend of just about every permitted white variety, including Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Picpoul and others. Aged all in stainless steel, it exhibits beautifully clean, mineral-laced notes of citrus rind, pear, honeysuckle and white flowers. This flows to a medium-bodied, refreshing, pure and elegant white that has integrated acidity, plenty of fruit and a classy finish. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years. Wine Advocate 92 (2013)
