Moss Wood, located in the Willyabrup sub-district of Margaret River, can boast one of the choicest and most beautiful vineyard sites in Australia. The Cabernet Sauvignon - first vintage 1973 - is regarded as one of Australia's great wines. Against the grain of the usually powerfully-knit trend in Margaret River cabernet comes the first and most elegant of them all from Moss Wood. The latest release of the wine that made Moss Wood's reputation, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon doesn't disappoint. Striking aromas of vanilla, cedar and crème de cassis lead into a palate that's packed with fruit, dark chocolate and faint herbal notes that impart a savory edge to the flavors. It's supple and creamy in texture yet powerful and concentrated, with fine-grained tannins that frame the long finish.
