The 2014 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from vines in the lieu-dit Violette and Aux Réas that are sometimes bottled separately. It has a simple, clean redcurrant and strawberry scented bouquet that would benefit from a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin on the entry. I appreciate the fineness of the tannin here and the tension displayed towards the finish, a village cru that comes recommended. Wine Advocate 89
