The 2004 is developing a lovely ripe nose of wild strawberry, black cherry, redcurrant and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced with good delineation. It has some lovely ripe Cabernet, but maintaining that classic line of Saint Julien. Very harmonious with a delectable tobacco finish. Perhaps a little “conservative” but well crafted.
