Description
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot. Here and in the Southern Medoc, Cabernet Franc did well in 2000. Perhaps because of the slightly warmer temperatures and longer sun hours in this region. At La Lagune, which translated means "a pond", the water table is quite high (only one meter down) so that drought years don't present much of a problem for the grapes' nourishment. A perfumed nose of vanilla oak and black fruits. Some black licorice flavors. A classic style - pure and delicious.
