Located in the village of Orschwihr and established in 1691, Domaine Valentin Zusslin is a biodynamic estate now managed by 13th generation brother and sister team of Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin. The vines are planted on the slopes of the Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg and Grand Cru Pfingstberg. In 1997 the domaine converted to biodynamic viticulture. Most of the work in the vineyard and in the cellar is done by hand, this allows the grapes to express the full potential and the unique terroirs of the Domaine.

The 2012 Riesling Clos Liebenberg Monopole is very ripe and concentrated on the nose, but also clear and elegant, indicating everything a classic Riesling should have. The wine is full-bodied, intense and powerful, but also finessed, piquant and vital on the palate, showing a great elegance, harmony and first maturity, which makes it a perfect wine for today. The finish is stimulatingly salty. A classic to be enjoyed at least for the next eight years. Wine Advocate 92+
