A soft, slightly "fluffy" nose with aromas of plum, leather and blackberry. Good concentration on the palate with a soft texture like the 1999. These has more vigor though with good weight on the mid-palate. Classic Bordeaux Cabernet finish with cedar and tobacco-laced black fruits. Wine Advocate 88-90
