Very closed on the nose, much more so than the La Fleur de Bouard. Notes of gravel begin to emerge in the glass with small dark cherries. The palate is very well balanced and pure, grainy tannins, dusky blackberry, cedar, sandalwood with a savoury touch towards the finish. Very compact at the moment, a little brusque but it should mellow nicely with aeration. Modern, polished and well crafted. Drink 2014-2025. Wine Advocate 92
