In 2005, with no vines of his own, Oronce de Beler created his winery using purchased grapes from Jeremy Seysses to make his wine under the name: Oroncio. Now named La Maison Romane, which is the name of the ancient winegrower house where he lives in the centre of Vosne-Romanee, next-door neighbour to Romanee-Conti’s neutral brandy storage cellar. Now based in Nuits Saint Georges, in his tiny vaulted cellar, he vinifies the grapes from organic and biodynamic growers in a natural way, always a soft and humble touch to his wines. Bottled unfined and unfiltered for both reds and whites, most often with no or minimum sulphur added. Occasionally some super rare Vosne-Romanee, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Corton Perrieres. From regional Bourgogne to Grand Crus, they were all treated with the same amount of attention and love. The wide range of appellations he makes doesn't dilute the quality of each which blew our minds away. It's not only the wines that wowed us but also the astonishing side projects of beers and ciders he makes. Smackingly good apple ciders and pinot lees infused ale, it is a sustainable cycle farming in a biodynamic approach. Oronce feeds the cows and pigs he raises with the leftover grains of his beer, then the pigs and cows generate compost used on the vines, and the wine lees return to the beer. It's an equilibrium of nature and society that Oronce would want to achieve. La Maison Romane is not only a Maison, but a team, vignerons-paysans, and a humbleness between man and nature.

Mousses Sauvages "Cueillettes de Printemps" is a top-fermented blonde beer. Fermented with wild picking and indigenous yeasts, Alc: 5.5%
