The peppery and fresh 2019 Aconcagua Alto Carmenere is varietal, elegant and dry, with certain lightness that I love and seldom find in the variety. The grapes ripened thoroughly, but the wine has a contained 13.5% alcohol and very good freshness that gives it a fluid mouthfeel. I found better Carmenere this time than ever. 54,745 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2020 after 14 months in barrel. Wine Advocate 92
