The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Blanchards has a very perfumed, slightly floral bouquet with a purity that actually reminds me of Hubert Lignier’s style of winemaking. Take that as a BIG compliment. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red cherry and strawberry fruit, fine tannin and one killer line of acidity embroidered through a delectably harmonious finish that is a pure joy.
