Benanti is one of the most prestigious winery located in Sicily, where grapes have been grown on the flanks of Mount Etna for a while now. The Benanti family has been making wine for passion since the late 1800s in Viagrande. Giuseppe led the winery for 25 years, contributing greatly to the development and the growth of the whole region. In 2013, Antonio and Salvino Benanti took over from their father Giuseppe, sharing the same vision, dreams and passion.

You get a pretty load of primary fruit with the 2016 Etna Bianco. Carricante gives off aromas of pear and white fruit with flinty mineral at the back. This is an academic interpretation of the grape from the east side of the volcano in Milo (with vineyards from 700 to 800 meters above sea level) that favors richness and structure. Some 50,000 bottles were produced. This wine has been produced since 1994. Wine Advocate 90(2016)
